"The design of the Vitamix A2500 will automatically give you an idea of how advanced this blender is."
The Vitamix A2500 is a high-end, fantastically effective toaster that performs brilliantly in a number of different areas, but is slightly let down by its massive price tag. Fuelled by 2.2 horsepower of sheer blending strength that gives you the ability to blend anything from frozen desserts to hot soup, the A2500 is one of the best performing blenders out there, as well as being smartly and innovatively designed as well. Unfortunately, its $440-600 asking price could be seen as rather unreasonable, despite the blender’s obvious strengths, however this review will talk you through all the positives and negatives of the Vitamix A2500 blender.
Design
The design of the Vitamix A2500 will automatically give you an idea of how advanced this blender is. The A2500 has a truly sleek appearance that just oozes sophistication and although its dimensions of 20.5 x 7.2 x 8.8 inches make it quite large, this is definitely the sort of appliance that you would be happy to show off if you had it in your kitchen, with its size just contributing to that. However, at just 11 pounds, the Vitamix A2500 is not one of the heaviest blenders we’ve ever seen, and you can easily move it around the kitchen at will if you need to. The beautiful Vitamix A2500 comes in 4 different colour options: black, red, slate, and white, giving you a range of choice that is rarely seen in appliances of this nature. In each of its four colours, the A2500 looks rather stunning, making it a great option for those who care about the aesthetics of their blenders. Unlike many blenders, the Vitamix A2500 has a digital interface, as well as a digital timer that removes the guesswork involved with using your blender for following recipes. The digital timer gives you no excuse to blend for too little or too much time, enabling you to get the perfect consistency from your ingredients every single time. The digital interface is another feature of the Vitamix A2500 that is rarely seen in other blenders, making this stand out from the crowd for yet another reason. As one of the best-designed blenders, the A2500 is a durable appliance that will last you a long time. This is reinforced by the whopping 10-year warranty placed on the Vitamix A2500 that shows you just what an accomplished piece of equipment this is.
Features
As you can probably imagine, the Vitamix A2500 is an effective blender in a number of different areas. The A2500 is a 2.2 horsepower machine that has 10 variable speed settings, allowing you to carefully refine the blending process to whatever your personal preferences may be. With stainless steel laser-cut blades that are powered by 50Hz that ensure that the Vitamix A2500 blends at an impressive speed, the power generated by this blender is genuinely impressive. The Vitamix A2500 has a pulse feature that can break your food up slightly before the main blending takes place, helping to ensure that you get the most consistent blended ingredients possible. There are 3 pre-programmed blending settings that you can choose between on the Vitamix A2500. These three settings are: frozen desserts, hot soup, and smoothies. The A2500 automatically adjusts speed and time for each setting to ensure that the best texture is achieved every time. While you may expect that certain functions will be more effective than others, the Vitamix A2500 is proficient in all 3 of its main functions and shows very little weakness in terms of performance. In terms of accessories, the Vitamix A2500 comes with its own mess-free pouring spout that prevents any unnecessary spillages from occurring. Furthermore, the A2500 comes with a lid plug that also acts as a measuring cup, giving you the apparatus to make blending a much easier process.
Ease of Use
In addition to being a well designed and effective blender, the Vitamix A2500 is a pretty easy blender to use too. The A2500 has a rather unique control panel, with its 10-speed settings controlled by a central dial that can be turned in order to control the power of the blender. The dial can also choose between the three pre-programmed blending functions, and overall, it’s relatively easy to control and you shouldn’t find yourself making any real errors when operating the blender. Pulse mode and on/off are controlled via durable toggle switches that require a certain amount of force to operate; not too much force that there is any difficulty in switching them, but not too little force that it is easy to accidentally switch the blender off. You may expect a blender of this size and power to be somewhat difficult to clean. However, this does not seem to be the case at all. Thanks to the large pitcher, there is lots of space around the blades of the blender, making manual cleaning a much easier process. Not only that, but the pitcher, the lid AND the blade assembly are all dishwasher-friendly, giving you some options when it comes to cleaning. As you may expect, the capacity of the Vitamix A2500 is reasonably impressive. The blending jug is a transparent 64oz container made of completely BPA-free materials, meaning that you should have no problems fitting all of your ingredients into the A2500. At 88 decibels, the Vitamix A2500 is one of Vitamix’s least noisy blenders to date. Of course, it is still a high-powered blender, so prepare for quite a bit of noise.

Final Thoughts
It's difficult to argue against the sheer quality of the Vitamix A2500, mainly due to its fantastic blending performance and impressive range of features. The power of its stainless steel laser-cut blades cannot be matched by too many other blenders, and the A2500 can produce smoothies, soups and desserts more effectively than the majority of other blenders on the market. Despite the Vitamix's immense quality, the Vitamix A2500 struggles to justify a spend of over $400, especially as there are many quality blenders out there that can offer much better value for money. Unless you’re willing to spend around $500 on a blender, you may want to consider other options to the Vitamix A2500.
